Family Child Care

Whether you're looking for a small group setting for your child, or possibly for a job, where you're the boss -- this program is available to you.  For more information, please call 263-4125/4743.

Child Development Center

There are two available for your children age 6 weeks to Kindergarten.  The first is located on Camp Zama close to the middle and high schools.  The other is located on Sagamihara Housing Area close to the elementary school.  Offering a full range of care from infant, full-day, part-day, pre-school, and hourly care.  For more information, please call 263-4125/4743.

School Age Services

If you're looking for a program to care for your child in grades 1 to 6 before school begins or afterwards - this is it.  Located within walking distance of the elementary school, it provides some great experiences every day.  During holidays, they will provide for a camp program, including trips to explore and learn about Japan.

Middle School/Teen Center

One of the most exciting places in the Army today for pre-teens and teens is the Zama Teen Center.  Located within walking distance of the middle school and high school, it provides many dynamic and exciting programs from after school dances, to building computers, to mixing music.... they've come to the right place.

Youth Sports

This program has expanded to include all ages in developing healthy lifestyles, participating in group sports - and just having fun.  From four-year olds learning developmental skills, to our teens participating in intra-mural sports  with other teams on the Kanto Plain (American and Japanese) to sports clinics to enhance skills - you've come to the right place.  Interested in volunteering to coach - give us a call.

Outreach Services (OS)

One of the newer parts of CYS, they're here to provide a wide variety of experiences for all youth and teens, from Japanese calligraphy to Tae Kwon Do - they're planning for new and fun experiences.

Parent Central Services

This is the office where it all begins.  If you want to enroll your child in our CDC, sign up for a youth trip to Mt. Fuji, or you're interested in the baseball clinic - start here, because they've got all the information on what's available.

School Liaison Services

Are you looking for answers to your questions about the schools in this area, or information/materials for home schooling your child?  Actively involved with all the schools in this area, and knowledgeable concerning alternatived avenues of education, this may be the person you want to talk to.  The Army is very concerned about transitions for youth between schools and is working with schools to develop programs to lessen the stress of these changes.
